Nokia 700 is a touch bar phone with Symbian Operating System. It currently uses Symbian Belle OS in which it upgradable to Belle FP1. The hardware especially the CPU is installed with 1GHz ARM11 and uses 2D/3D Graphics HW Accelerator with OpenVG1.1 and OpenGL ES 2.0 for the GPU. The internal memory has 2GB storage. It expandable / swappable using microSD card up to 32GB for external storage memory. The RAM uses 512MB and has 1GB ROM.

Nokia 700 designed with 3.2 inches AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen display and uses 360 x 640 pixels resolution. It also powered with Nokia Clearblack display and polished with screen protector of Corning Gorilla Glass. As a touchscreen display, the 700 also supports Multi Touch input method and for typing text or messages it uses On screen Virtual Qwerty keyboard (though if you familiarized with alphanumeric, the onscreen keypad can be changed to this type too).

The phone has single camera with 5 Megapixel resolution on the rear side of the phone. It also has LED Flash for low light condition, fixed focus, Geo tagging and face detector. For the video recording it up to 720p@30fps. FM Radio, Java MIDP 2.1, TV-out also available.
The phone with 96 grams and 110 x 50.7 x 9.7 mm works under GSM data network technology. It support GPRS class 33, EDGE class 33 and for 3G it supports HSUPA 5.76 Mbps and HSDPA 14.4 Mbps.
