First of all, to be able to insert the SIM into the GT-S7580, you need to open the back cover of the device. Just use your fingernal to pull out the side of the cover (gap shown), then lift it up till the cover completely removed.

Now you can easily installed the battery to the device or removed it, and also you can see the SIM slot right beside the rear camera and then insert it with gold-contact facing down and align the SIM properly to the slot. By removing the cover you can also remove the SIM card if you necessary on changing with brand new SIM. If you had done all on inserting battery and SIM, now you can attach the cover back.

Remember, you do not need to remove the cover if you just wanna install the external microSD memory card. The location of the memory card slot provides just like the picture below.

On the bottom left side (rear view, open the memory slot cover with your finger nail, then push the memory card until it locks. Push it back one again will make the card pop out and you can easily removed. But before you remove the microSD card, make ssure you already unmount it firt via Setting.
