Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V is the second 2nd series of SE Xperia neo (although it seems that this neo V is the lower version of Xperia neo, due to some features that not as good as neo, especially in Camera features and included microSD storage). So, we can also called this neo V as SE Xperia neo II / neo2. It has the product series name as MT11i aka Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V MT11i. The following features and specs are the “thing” that has the same between SE Xperia neo V and SE Xperia neo: Design, it uses the same design, touch bar/ candy bar form factor with curved top and bottom of the body, same weight and dimension size with 126 grams and 116 x 57 x 13 mm, same LED backlit LCD capacitive touch screen with 3.7 inches diagonal diameter and has 480 x 540 pixels resolution (265ppi), and also has additional display tools: Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engline, Timescape UI, Scratch resistant surface, multi touch, proximity, and accelerometer sensor. This is the step by step instructions that usually wanna taken by any one who already tired on using the neo V and wanna get the settings back just like the first time he use it. It called as factory data reset aka reset the phone to factory default (you can also name it as Hard / Master Reset). And here are the steps that you must follows (according to page 115 of Extended User Guide / EUG of Xperia neo V): Home screen > Tab Menus > Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset > Erase SD Card checked > Reset phone > Erase everything.

By doing this action all your data would be remove it permanently, therefore please back up first before you do this factory reset action. You don’t wanna lose your photos, videos memory which been captured in your neo V, do you?

Another tutorial? Just take your self to page 57 of the EUG of SE XnV. You’ll find the tutorial how you can set the alarm or edit existing alarm settings. Just like neo, SE Xperia neo V powered with 1Ghz scorpion processor speed (using Adreno 205 for Grapich PU and chipset with Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon) and has 512 MB RAM with 320MB built in storage memory. Unlike SE Xperia neo, the SE XnV only included with 2GB microSD external memory which means has lower size compare to what neo had (neo has 8GB).

For Data networks, it supports GSM technology with quad band GSM for 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MAHz frequency and HSDPA / UMTS 900 / 2100 MHz for MT11i or HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 MHz for MT11a. The HSDPA support up to 7.2 Mbps, and HSUPA up to 5.76 Mbps. Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP wireless stereo headsets profile, High Data transfer via microUSB v2.0, and connectivity via Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, portable WiFi hotspot are also available.

Beside the included microSD which distinguished between SE Xperia neo and SE Xperia neo V, the other differences is the Camera features. SE XnV has “only” 5Megapixel Camera but with 3D sweep panorama features, and for SE Xn has 8MP camera without 3D Sweep panorama. Although for LED Flash, Autofocus, touch focus, geo tagging, face and smile detections, Video Recording for HD 720@30fps (Camcorder), Continuous autofocus, and video light are available in both of neo and neo V.

For the colors body casing neo V available in three option choices: White, Silver and Blue Gradient (you can see the images above to make sure which the white one, the silver one and also the blue-gradient one). As an Android Smartphone, the Google Maps, Google Search, Android Market, YouTube, Google mail, and others Google product for Mobile Phone are also already preloaded.

For other Multimedia features, the phone installed with Sony Ericsson Music Player which supports MP3, WMA, WAV or eAAC+, Media Video Player for MP4, H.264 and WMV, equipped with xLOUD Experience for optimum speaker sound out put, FM Radio with RDS, 3D Games, and more. Almost forget, the SE XnV, also has VGA Camera on front facing side for Video Recording. You can also connect to other device for larger screen such as Television with HDMI port (if your TV supports HDMI).

    My battery goes flat very quickly, this is a reasonably new phone, I have tried a battery from another MT11i and it does the same thing. I have swithed off roaming ect, still goes flat with in 15hrs without using.
    Can you help please.
