Although there are five Manuals that we shared on this post–The ASUS PadFone User Manual, PadFone Quick Start Guide (QSG), PadFone Station QSG, PadFone Station Dock QSG and PadFone Stylus Headset–, but on this Specs Overview and Specifications tab section, we just wrote about the PadFone Smartphone and PadFone Station only. On the other hand, at the Resume section, we will discuss for all the Manuals available for this device.
PadFone is a unique device. Along with its Station and Dock, you will have 3 in onne Gadgets in your had. You can get Phone, Tablet, and NetBook at the same time. For a brief understand, see the figure of PadFone (with it’s “parts”) that we attached below. Remember that you can’t used the PadFone Tablet without the PadFone inserted in the PadFone Station. This make that the PadFone station is just like a “clothes” for the PadFone to be transformed into a Tablet looks and Usage. One more thing, is that the Tablet has Stylus Headset Pen too that can be used to draw or to answer/make a call.
Another good news is that the ASUS PadFone already runs with the latest version of Android Operating System. It powered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The smartphone with has 129 grams weight and 128 x 65.4 x 9.2 inches dimension size uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 8260A chipset with Dual core 1.5 GHz Processor Speed. the 1.5Hz dual core CPU also works together with 1GB LPDDR2 RAM and uses Adreno 225 as Graphic Processing Unit. For the memory (internal) there are three optional storage that you can choose: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB with eMMc Flash. Remember that the higher the storage, means that the price of the phone also higher. Although having 16GB isn’t bad option, cause there is a microSD card slot ready to be inserted the external memory for additional storage. Additionally, you will also get free cloud online storage of ASUS Webstorage for 3 years.
Asus PadFone User Manual, PadFone Station & Keyboard Dock Quick Start Guide Resume
At this Resume section, we uploaded and embedded the three figure of the PadFone and it’s Accessories along with the keys and parts Overview in which you can learn and understand its.
1# ASUS PadFone Smartphone body. The Image that we gave you above is the PadFone body with its parts. For your information, this kind of tutorial only available on the Quick Start Guide only. It means that you can’t see this Layout Overview on the User Manual of PadFone. As you can see, you can learn where is the Volume Keys, the Power Keys, the Speaker, the Camera and its Flash, Audio Jack, HDMI Port and more.
2# The ASUS PadFone Station (Tablet mode). In this image tutorial you can learn the part of the PadFone Station like door latch, Power key, Speaker, Flashbult hole, bay, Camera hole, Hinge holes, Air vent and more. This tutorial available on page 3 and page 4 at the PadFone Station QSG (Quick Start Guide PDF).
3# The PadFone Station Dock (Netbook mode with Qwerty Keyborad). As we already mentioned above the Dock device is a parts of PadFone Station in order to be used to turn the PadFone into Netbook or Laptop or Notebook like. With this Keyboard dock, a typing activity would be guaranteed faster and easier. The most important part that you should understand properly is the Dock Latch (shown on number 1 on the image). You can also learn the SD card slot reader (number 7), USB slot (no 6) and more. It can be clearly found on page 3 & 4 of Dock QSG.
For the User Manual of PadFone, you will get the guidance on using the PadFone and also on using the PadFone Station (Turn on mode / active mode). From Navigating, Making call, Touch and type, Using Onscreen keyboard and else (both of Tablet and Smartphone). You can also learn how to connect to mobile networks, uses Wi-Fi or to pair the Bluetooth to other bluetooth device (listening music wirelessly with A2DP profile or transfer file).
On the chapter 3 on the User Manual you can also read the tutorial how to works with PadFone Stylus Headset. From charging it, connecting and pairing it, turn on / off and even making calls or aswering call with this Stylush Headset.
Note: There is no tutorial how you can make factory reset / master reset on this User Manual, although it always can be guess easily that the option can be found under Menu > Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything. Just like almost all Android 4.0 had this option too.

Asus PadFone Technical Specifications
Both the display screen for PadFone and PadFone Station coated with scratch resistant by Corning Gorilla Glass and its also use HCLR Film, but for the display its come with difference material. For the PadFone which has 4.3 inches size (diagonally measured, resolution at qHD 960 x 540 pixels) uses Super AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen, and for the PadFone Station it uses TFT Capacitive touchscreen with 10.1 inches with WXGA resolution (1280 x 800 pixels).
Officially there is no camera on the PadFone Station (Tablet mode), but because on using the PadFone tablet you must need the PadFone smartphone inserted on the compartment of its Station, thus the back side Camera automatically used the PadFone’s Camera. It has 8 Megapixel Resolution with LED Flash, Auto Focus, and F2.2 Aperture. Technically, whatever the abilities and capabilities Camera on PadFone had, that would be also the ones that PadFone Tablet had. You can capture photos, video Recording for HD 1080p@30fps and more.
It has a difference version for the Front Facing Camera which usually use it as Video Calling or Video Camera. Both of PadFone and its Station are attached with this front Camera. for the PadFone it has VGA Camera, on the other hand, the PadFone station has 1.3 Megapixel Camera.
For the PadFone Station size, it designed with 273 x 176.9 x 13.55 mm and has 724 grams on its weight. It along with 6600 mAh Lithium battery though. And for the PadFone smartphone, the battery uses 1520 mAh capacity. Sensors available on this devices are including the G-Sensor, E-Compass, Light Sensor, Motion Sensor, Vibration Sensor, Proximity and also Gyroscope. Along with android OS, Google Preloaded apps such as Gmail, Android Music Player, Google Play Google Maps, GTalk, and else are also available.
For the connectivity features, the PadFone suppors GSM Data networks technology with 2G (EDGE, GPRS and GSM) and 3G WCDMA HSPA+ up to 21Mbps Download speed and 5.76 upload speed. PadFone (image below): It would help you to open the back cover case of Padfone, removing the battery, insert the SIM card, install the microSD Card, attach the battery back again, and close up the back cover in its position properly
Station: This is another important tutorial. First you need to be able to insert the PadFone to its PadFone Station compartment which means you had to know to open the cover, and also how you can remove the PadFone from its Station properly. And the last how you can attach the PadFone Station to Keyboard Dock.
