Determined from the name of Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2, you have already knew that this GT-S7710 (some other version uses GT-S7710L version series name) is the second generation of Samsung Galaxy Xcover that is known as the first generation of this brand name series (GT-I5690). Just like the previous series, the Galaxy Xcover 2 GT-S7710 is also designed to acquired the IP67 certified in which the device is protected from water and dust — known as water proof up to 1 meter depth for 30 minutes and dust tight. Although the phone is not as tough as the rugby series that achieved Military Standard (MIL-STD-810G), still compare to other version of Galaxy Series, this Xcover 2 is stronger and tougher enough.

The phone designed base on touch-bar form factory with the size of the display is 4.0-inches. It uses TFT Capacitive touchscreen with scratch resistant protection glass. The embedded 480 x 800 pixels resolution made the 4″ display get almost 233 ppi pixel density (with 16 colors).
