The number 9 that shown the location of Power key, in my opinion is the most needed button that you must know. It because without this button, you never be able to turn the phone on or off. And sometime this button needed to do hardware combination for Hard / Master Reset. So do the volume button, pictured on number 5.

Special for performing Factory Reset, you can find the proper guideline on page 100 of the Manual. Press + Hold Volume Down, then Press + Hold Power button > Screen shown up with 3 Android, release both keys > Choose Factory Reset with Volume Down > Confirm it with Power button. Done

Of course some basic tutorial such as set the alarm, connecting the phone to PC using USB cable, Pairing the blutooth, use the Phone as Wi-Fi router along with 4G LTE networks, capturing photos with front or rear camera, add contacts, using HTC Car, and others are can be read them all insides this PDF Manual. As we mentioned above, HTC Butterfly is Android device. It’s currently runs on Android Jelly Bean OS for version 4.1.1. We know that the latest version of Android at this time (March 2013) is Jelly Bean 4.2; If you ask why not this version is used on Butterfly? The answer is you just need to wait until the upgrade version of JB v4.2 available via Over the Air.

For the main hardware, the butterfly has powerful quad-core 1.5GHz Krait processor with Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon chipset and Adreno 320GPU. Of course as a touchbar phone, the Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity sensors are a must along with Digital Compass. 11GB user storage is ready for you as internal memory (total 16GB), still the expandable slot up to 32GB also ready to be used. The RAM works with the quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and chipset is quite good: It’s 2GB RAM.

The installed battery on this HTC Butterfly uses Li-Po type with 2020 mAh capacity. Along with this non-removable battery, the phone gain 140 grams / 4.94 weight. For the dimensional size, though not the slimmest smartphone ever built by HTC, this phone has only 9.1 thickness with 142 x 70.5 length and width (in millimeter) or about 5.63 x 2.78 x 0.36 inches.

With stereo sound recording and HD video 1080p@30fps recording, the 8 Megapixel rear camera which is attached on the Butterfly is one of the key feature on this phone. Of course geo-tagging, LED flash, Auto focus and touch focus, face dan smile detection are provided. The 2.1MP front camera even can be used as HD video calling up to 1080p@30fps.

Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, HSPA+, Bluetooth version 4.0, NFC (depend on market and region), microUSB v2.0, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi portable hotspot, DLNA certificate, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n type are also included as the connectivity features.
