Hmmm, I guess, even I didn’t mention the Operating System used on this phone, I believe, you’ll easily figure out what the OS is. Yes, HTC Windows Phone 8X runs under Microsoft Windows Phone 8 (version 8). Although somebody might said that the eight number on this phone came from the 8 Megapixel camera attached on the back of the body of the device (I’m definitely not agree with that).
The main hardware installed on this device, as long as we know (it may difference depend on regional device), are dual-core 1.5GHz Krait Processor Speed, the Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset, and 1GB RAM plus Adreno 225 GPU. Unfortunately, there is no external memory card slot on this phone; Moreover, the internal memory only has 16GB.

What I do not really like on the User Guide and Quick Start Guide of HTC Windows Phone 8X is that — especially for a new user of HTC Smartphone — the phone overview which shown your the keys and parts of the device, is only provided for the front panel view only. You can’t see what the device looks like with explanation of the parts or keys (such as rear camera, LED flash, etc) for the rear panel view, side view, and top view.
But as you can see on the figure above, the parts and keys like speaker, home button, volume, power key, still be able to be seen from front side.
Jump to page 92 of the User Guide of this WP 8X, you’ll get an information to do factory reset. Here are the ways to do it: Power the phone off > Press Hold Volume down > Immediately Press Power button > Whenever the icon appears, release Volume down button > Then do a series of buttons actions: Volume Up >> Volume Down >> Power >> Volume down. Otherwise, Go to Home screen, Slide to the left, Tap Settings > about > reset your phone > Tap yes > Wait till the reset is done.

With the 4.3″ display and designed as a touch bar form factor, the Windows Phone 8X by HTC uses Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen material coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and has 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It’s embodied on 132.4 x 66.3 x 10.1 mm size which is about 5.21 x 2.61 x 0.4 inches and about 130 grams weight (4.6 ounces)
Just like ordinary smartphone, the Windows Phone 8X also capable to record video recording. It up to HD video for 1080p@30fps with continuous autofocus and has video light assistance. Of course it need a camera to do this. The camera for this HD recording uses 8 Megapixel Camera available on the rear panel of the phone. There is LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus and more. One more camera was added on the front side with 2.1MP resolutions
Unfortunately there is no radio, no java support on this phone. But it has four different colors on its body casing: California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red, and Limelight.
For the connectivity, It’s depend on the data networks carrier on your mobile provider bundling. It might use CDMA technology or GSM technology. One thing for sure HSPA+, LTED u pt 100 Mbps DL (for AT&T) are provided. The Wi-Fi WLAN EEE 802.11 b/g/n/a, Bluetooth version 3.1, microUSB 2.0 for USB cable are available.
