Lenovo S820 is 4.7″ smartphone that released on May 2013. The main feature that seems to be brought by this S820 is that the phone support for dual-SIM card under GSM network technology. The 4.7 inches diagonally measured display uses IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with HD resolution 720 x 1280 pixels and 16M color depth. It’s only support up to 4 finger touches. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and acquired 312 ppi pixel density.

For the dual-SIM coverage of data network frequency, the Lenovo S820 can be divided into two version: Asia=Pasific and Latin Amerika. For the Asia-Pasific, the S820 support GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 Mhz and 3G WCDMA 900 / 2100Mhz. For the Latin Amerika, Lenovo S820 works under GSM 850 / 1800 /1900 Mhz and 3G WCDMA 850 / 1900 MHz.

As you can see at the figure above, to remove or open the back cover of Lenovo S820, you need to find the recess in the lower-left corner of the device (a kind of gap that you can insert your fingernail or make a grip on it). Then from this point, hold the top of your S820, and pull it up the lower side of the cover until it’s detached from the body of the phone. Continue to remove all the cover until the cover fully remove. You can know easily remove the battery. To attach the cover back you just need to aligns with the body, then gently press to the body until it clicks.

The dual-SIM card slot can be seen just under the 12MP rear camera (after you open the back cover of S820). To insert the SIM card, you just need to make sure the gold-contact of the SIM 1 and SIM 2 are facing down, then slide them into their slot. You can see on the figure above as presentation tutorial. You can also insert the microSD card to its slot. The slot of memory can is on the left side (pictured). Slide it in until it locks.

Unfortunately, the User Manual of Lenovo S820 only consists small tutorial aka un-complete guide. You will not find a tutorial how you can use the homescreen, navigating it, how to use alarm clock, pairing bluetooth, use Wi-Fi, add a contact and etc. There no such kind tutorials on the UM. Too bad. It rather called as QSG instead of User Manual.

Lenovo S820 is embodied on Polycarbonate material with dimension size 139.5 mm x 69.7 mm x 8.95 mm. It weighs 143 grams (5.04 ounces). The smartphone is powered by 2000mAh Lithium Polymer removable (user-replaceable) battery that can turning-on the phone for up to 10 hours under 3G network for talktime usability.

A quad-core 1.2GHz processor is installed on the Lenovo S820 as a CPU along with MTK 6589W chipset and PowerVR SGX544 GPU (Graphic Processor). Although the internal memory is only embedded with built-in 4GB eMMC but you can still has other option to add the storage via microSD external slot up to 32GB. For the RAM, it uses 1GB RAM. All working together with Android Jelly Bean version 4.2.1 Operating System.

As a touch-bar form factor phone’s design, the S820 is also installed with A-GPS, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer Sensor, Gravitation sensor, Ambien light sensor and FM antenna receiver. The S820 has 1 speaker and you can use 3.5mm headphone/mic combo jack on the device. Flamingo red, Black, White color are the three colors available for Lenovo S820.

For the camera, The rear facing camera of Lenovo S820 is attached with 12Megapixel autofocus camera with LED Flash light. On the front facing side, the 2Megapixel fixed focus camera is attached. The main 12MP camera is also supported by geo-tagging, touch-focus, face detection and video recording.

You can find some preloaded application installed on Lenovo S820. Some of them are AccuWeather, Evernote, Facebook, Kingsoft Office, Lenovo Cloud Storage, Norton Mobile Security, Route 66 Maps + Navigation, Skype, Twitter, UC Browser, Games (Aspalt 7, Gameloft Store, Little Big City, Shark Dash). There are Wi-Fi WLAN IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotpost supports, Bluetooth v3.0, microUSB v2.0 for USB high data transfer installed on S820.
