Samsung FreeForm 5 is one of the mobile phone device that uses physical qwerty keyboard and categorized as low-end grade. As for the form factory design, let’s say that Freeform 5 comes with qwerty-bar type. This phone is also known as Samsung SCH-R480, you can call it as Samsung FreeForm 5 sCH-R480. The display of this phone didn’t support any touch input aka non-touchscreen type.

Samsung FreeForm 5 SCH-R480 Specifications
The display attached on the FreeForm 5 uses QVGA TFT screen with 2.4-inch size (diagonally diameter). QVGA means that the display uses 320 x 240 pixels resolution. For the dimension size, the phone has 112 x 86 x 11 millimeter or about 4.4″ x 3.4″ x 0.42″ inches. It has 3.32 ounces weight / 94 grams.
The physical keyboard attached on the FreeForm 5 uses five rows qwerty keyboard with 2 soft key and D-Pad for navigation. The phone is only available on Black color.
FreeForm 5 is designed for CDMA network under 1x Advance. There is one version that is bundled with US. Cellular Carrier, but the one that we talk about and we share its User Manual is the Generic version. This means, before you try to use the FreeForm with your favorite Mobile Carrier, you need to make sure that the Carrier Provider supports for CDMA network. It’s supports for 800 / 1900 Mhz frequency.
The SCH-R480 is embedded with removable lithium-ion battery. The battery should be inserted manually and it has 1000mAh capacity. According to official Samsung FreemForm 5 page, this battery help you to maintain that you can use the device up to 6 hours talk tie and can stand almost 12 days (330 hours) in standby mode.
There is no information that we could find relating with the processor installed on the FreeForm 5, except that the phone has 2GB internal memory with 1GB bonus of external slot (up to 32GB). The SCH-R480 is attached with 3 Megapixel Camera, Bluetooth, GPS, and also can play common Video formats like H.263, H.264, MPEG-4 and also music formats such as MIDI, MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+.

The tutorial that we embedded on the image below is special section of getting started that you should know. It consist a tutorial to remove the back cover, attach battery, charging, and install microSD memory card
Unfortunately, there is no tutorial to insert the SIM card. I don’t know why the Samsung didn’t include this tutorial, though it’s rather important, I think.
