I’m a little bit surprise that Samsung still release the Bada OS powered smartphone in the middle of his success on Android device. Samsung now the leader in smartphone and even phone market. At least that what I heard this day. Nokia down to second place, then Apple for the third.

And this is the latest Bada OS phone by Samsung, named as Samsung Wave 3. Yes, it’s the continuation of Samsung Wave, a Bada Series, from Samsung Wave 1 (GT-8500), Samsung Wave 2 (GT-S8530) then the third generation, Samsung Wave 3 (GT-S8600)

For the design, we wouldn’t say anything about it, whether it looks stylish, looks good, looks trendy and handy, we leave it the rest of it to your own opinion. Just look the picture above and make your own judgement. For short, almost Samsung touch bar form factor likes Wave 3 has the “same design” aka standard design.

The phone uses Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, and has 4.0 inches display screen with 480 x 800 resolution. This is sound good.

Go to page 19 under Device layout section, you will see the same picture just like the image below. Although it ordered in portrait and we changed it into landscape for better (suited for this site/ blog). It would get you to know better about Wave 3. For example you wanna turn on the power of the phone you need to know where you must press the power button, so do the reset or lock key. The other keys / buttons and parts like volume, home, dial keys, proximity, GPS, camera also available.

Btw, for the English version of Samsung Wave 3 User Guide / User Manual, it seems that the Bookmarks didn’t work properly. The bookmark didn’t go to the correct page. Whenever you click the bookmarks (any of them) it would goes to the same page; the page 154 aka the end of the manual. It seems samsung need to update this manual to fix the error.

Speaking of “error issue”, if you face that your Wave 3 frequently got an error such as touchscreen stop responding, hang or fatal error (freeze) you can try to get resolve this problem by performing Factory reset. In this Bada OS phone you can go to Settings > General > Reset > Factory reset > Yes > Yes to confirm > Done. Anyway, if you just wanna reset the setting to the default, choose the “reset settings” instead of factory reset under Reset options: Settings > General > Reset > Reset setting > Yes.

The Wave 3 preloaded with some useful applications. It including the Polaris Office for document editor and viewer (word, excel, pdf, etc), the Clock, the calculator, the maps, the google, Youtube, Navigation, Memo, FM Radio, and more. Tutorial for Wi-Fi, pairing bluetooth also available along with AllShare tutorial and synchoronise tutorial to your PC.
