It seems Sony Xperia ion with large 4.55 inches display screen currently available for limited region. We got the User Manual / User Guide for this LT28 / LT28a from Sony Website for US / North America, so do the specs, the images that we edited and gave you below come from Sony mobile for US. The phone surely designed for premium class. It can be determine by the high specs adhered with the phone. In US you’ll also known this Xperia ion as LT28at which uses 4G LTE technology for AT&T Carrier and Xperia ion LT28h which uses HSDPA technology. Outside US, you’ll also notice that the phone known as LT28i.
There are 1GB RAM with dual-core 1.5GHz processor installed. The chipset uses Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon and Adreno 220 for the graphic processor. It has 16GB internal storage and can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. But in the other hand, the Operating System only uses Android Gingerbread version 2.3; this surely needs an upgrade to the latest version or at least to ICS (Ice Cream Sandwitch).
Sony Xperia ion LT28 User Manual Resume
If you just gonna take a quick look what the contents inside the User Guide of Sony Xperia ion LT28, you can skip this tab section and jump to “Contents” Tab. In there you can find a brief of bookmarks which are available on the PDF UG. But, in case you just wanna get simple tutorial to understand you Xperia ion, which can be presented just like the image below, you don’t need to do that. Just take a good look at the figure below.
By seeing the image above which contains the name of keys and parts of Xperia ion, you can understand you phone better. You need to find the power key, need where is the volume key, the back key, headset connector, HDMI connector, microphone and many more, all arranged in its best. It a bit different from the original Phone Overview available on the PDF Manual, but we guarantee that you get better “tutorial” by having the embedded picture above the the original version. We have edited special for you only.
Almost all the tutorials available on this UG are commonly found in most other Sony smartphone’s User Guide. Although there are some features that seems not usual. For example the TV Launcher applications in which you can use it to connect your XPeria ion to TV Set using HDMI (Hight Definition Multimedia Interface) cable. The step by step instructions to do this can be found under “Connecting your phone to a TV set” chapter on page 109.
Restart, Force Shutdown, and Reset: If you phone got freezed or unresponsive, you can restart the Xperia ion by pressing Volume up key for about 5 seconds: whenever the phone vibrates release the key. Shutting down in hardway also can be done by pressing the Volume up (same as restart step) in 10 seconds: whenever the phone vibrates three times counts, release the keys. And to do Reset aka Factory data reset aka Master / Hard reset follows these steps: Home > Menu > Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything (if you wanna delete all the document and data like videos, photos, musics and else, you need to mark “Erase SD card checkbox).
If you see a blank page, just Reload your browser.
Sony Xperia ion LT28 Technical Specifications
One of good news regarding the feature attached on Sony Xperia ion is the main camera: 12.1 Megapixels with LED Flash, 16x digital zoom, Auto Focus, Face Detection, using Sony’s Exmor R mobile CMOS sensor and of course the ability to create HD video up to 1080p@30fps. The video is recorded on 3GPP and MP4 formats.
Without any doubt the XPeria ion is touch bar phone. The 4.55″ display powered with Reality Display Mobile BRAVIA Engine and uses TFT Capacitive touchscreen. As usually, larger screen means it’s exposed to hazardous activity and material, therefor scratch resistant, shatter proof sheet on mineral glass also being used on this smartphone. Unfortunately we couldn’t find the material used for this protection: gorilla glass? Don’t know yet. For the User Interface, Timescape UI always inside.
Sony Xperia ion dimension size in inches is 5.2 x 2.7 x 0.4; in milimeter is 133 x 68 x 10.6. Along with the Lithium Ion 1900 mAh battery, this LT28 has about 144 grams or around 5.1 ounces. This battery is claimed can be used up to 12 hours for music listening time and about 10 hours on talk time. We guess that it would less then 10 hours if you use it for gaming or surfing to the internet by using LTE data / HSDPA data.
Others features? Let say that almost the smartphone features that should be present on Android and high-class gadget are already in. Wi-Fi, front facing 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth, NFC, USB, HDMI supports, DLNA Certificate, Wi-Fi portable Hotspot, FM Radio with RDS, Music and Video Player, xLOUD audio technology, Timescape with Twitter, Facebook applications, 3D and motion gaming, virtual qwerty keyboard, Google Maps, Google Talk, Gmail, Google Play, Alarm Clock and more.
For LTE, it uses LTE Band IV and Band XVII, the HSPA+ uses 850 / 1900 /2100 Mhz frequency (though it’s varied depend on region and series); GSM is also available.
