This phone with about 4.2 ounces / 120 grams weight and 129 x 65 x 10.7 mm size come with 4.3 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen with scratch protection glass. Although it’s designed not too look tough, but the Xperia V had actually acquaired IP57 certificate for dust and water resistant. It can survive on the water for up to 30 minutes at 1 meter deep. With the 4.3″ display’s designed, the Xperia V acquires 342 ppi (pixel density) along with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It’s also powered by Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 for better view of the display (relating on processing image color on the display). As usually, Timescape UI is still used as User Interface.

If you wanna experience Jelly Bean Android version 4.1 on this Xperia V LT25i, you must be patient because it’s only available in upgrade option. The current version of Android on this phone is Android Ice Cream Sandwich v4.0.4. The Android OS came alive due to the mind of dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor, Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset and Adreno 225. Of course it can be worked if there is no electricity power from the Li-Ion 1750 mAh battery capacity. The good new is, even though this phone has Igress Protection rating (IP57: protected against dust; protected against effects of immersion), the battery still in removable and replaceable type.

For the memory, it’s only equipped with 8GB storage (built-in internal) and has 1GB for RAM memory. But do not worry if you need an extra space for your document and data. There is additional microSD external card slot that can extend you memory up to 32GB. Although, it needs to be added manually and you must buy it first.

Another good news from this phone is the camera features resolution. The Xperia V is embedded with 13 Megapixel camera on the rear as main camera function for Video Recording (up to HD 1080p@30fps) and photo shot (up to 4128 x 3096 pixels) with auto focus, LED light, geo-tagging, touch focus, image stabilizer, face detection, smile shot detection and more. On the contrary the front facing camera’s is only attached with VGA resolution.

The phone support for 3G (GSM, some version uses CDMA), and also HSPA+, 4G LTE. Wi-Fi uses IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n with dual-band and Wi-Fi direct transfer connectivity capability. DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot also supports. There are Bluetooth for version 4 and microUSB (MHL) version 2.0 for USB connection. NFC (Near Field Communication) is also available.

You can use Google Applications (preloaded) such as Gmail, Gtalk, Google Search, Google Maps and others, and even Walkman application with TrackID technology or FM Radio. You can also purchase Video or Music via Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited. It can be played on PC, PS 3, and even PSP (PlayStation Portable). For the casing, you can choose one of three: Black, White, and Pink color.

I had to say that the User Manual aka User Guide of this XPeria V is created with good intention unlike others Sony Mobile Phone UG. The tutorial give you a clear understanding along with the image presentation. That's why I give it four and half rating

    o volume das chamadas ficou muito baixo
    sendo que nas configurações o volume esta no maximo
    oque posso fazer para voltar ao normal

    I have got a problem.. It got water inside the phone and it stops displaying…. phone is on.. my phone still rings but i can’t able to see anything in screen.. screen is fully dark..
